Heavy-Duty 2-Speed Winch Assembly
The EZ Loader 3200 lb Winch with Brake 250-037060 is one of the larger, higher-capacity winch head assemblies offered for compatible EZ Loader boat trailer applications.
This EZ Loader 3200 lb trailer winch is made by Boss and is designed for heavier boat loading where more control, pulling power, and braking assistance are needed.
This complete winch assembly includes the winch head, 10" handle, braking lever, and a 2" wide x 20' long nylon/polyester winch strap with large hook. It is ready to mount to a compatible EZ Loader winch stand, K-stand, or winch bracket setup.
The 2-speed ratcheting design gives the operator better control when loading and unloading heavier boats. The winch also includes a freewheeling neutral position with no resistance, a self-locking drum in forward and reverse gears, and a side-mounted hand brake for controlled release or quicker stopping when needed.

Why a 2-Speed Winch Matters
A 2-speed winch gives the operator more control when loading heavier boats. One speed can help move the boat faster when resistance is lower. The other speed provides more controlled pulling power when the boat is heavier or harder to move.
The freewheel neutral position also helps when paying out the strap. The side-mounted brake gives added control when the line needs to be released carefully or stopped quickly.
Typical EZ Loader Trailer Applications
This winch is commonly used on compatible EZ Loader boat trailers that require a higher-capacity winch assembly. It may apply to larger bunk trailers, heavier fiberglass boat trailers, deep-V trailer setups, offshore-style trailer applications, and other compatible EZ Loader winch stand configurations.
Always compare the part number, mounting pattern, winch capacity, bow eye location, trailer setup, and existing winch stand before ordering.
Installation Considerations
- Confirm the winch mounting pattern before installation.
- Inspect the winch bracket or K-stand for rust, bends, cracks, or worn mounting holes.
- Make sure the winch strap pulls straight toward the boat bow eye.
- Check that the bow stop and winch angle support the bow correctly.
- Confirm proper brake operation before loading a boat.
- Tighten mounting hardware securely after confirming alignment.
Fitment Guidance
This is not a one-size-fits-all trailer winch. Correct fitment depends on the trailer model, winch stand, bracket position, boat weight, bow eye height, ramp angle, and loading setup.
- Confirm the original winch part number when possible.
- Match the replacement winch capacity to the trailer and boat application.
- Check the winch bracket and stand before replacing the winch.
- Confirm the strap angle to the bow eye before use.
- Send photos if you are unsure about fitment.

Real-World Insight
A high-capacity winch can make a major difference on heavier boats. The 2-speed gearing helps reduce effort when more pulling control is needed. The brake lever also helps when the strap needs to be released in a controlled way.
If the old winch is slipping, binding, hard to crank, bent, or no longer holding properly, replacing the full winch assembly can improve loading control and trailer safety.
